Kid Fresh x Diplo x Dillon Francis in Praha

Gucci Mane x Sinden x Mad Decent

Honestly, Gucci Mane never really caught my attention. But stir in some of my favorite UK producers like Hudson Mohawke, Sinden, Mosca, Rustie, Scratcha DVA, Duke Dumont etc and I’m all over that shit. Gotta luv this.

Might get a cupcake tat on my forehead now.

“Gucci has been on my radar a long time – I’ve always waited with baited breath for the next tape to drop. To have the opportunity to curate a mixtape of his material and A&R the project is a dream gig and I knew that with the talent over here it would yield some really interesting results.” -Sinden

Kid Fresh X Mad Decent

Diplo X Pomp & Clout

It’s been a hot minute since I heard the last mixtape that was rotationworthy enough to be bumpin’ on my system non-stop. Dip dawg kicks off Brooklyn-based multimedia graphic collective Pomp & Clout‘s new mix series by delivering 60 minutes jam-packed with 60s rock&roll, 70s deep soul, 80s acid rock, 90s punk rock by the likes of The Sonics, The Silver Apples, Rotary Connection, Ken Nordine, The Hard-ons and even a Portuguese version of The Rolling Stones’ “Paint It Black”. No tracklisting revealed, but highly enjoyable from the first to the very last minute.

I’ve met Måns Glaeser, one half of Stockholmian producer/DJ duo Savage Skulls, at a show we both played in Brooklyn for Palms Out Sounds a while ago. Today, 2 years later, he’s hooking me up with some very blogworthy, highly banging club tunes of theirs. These guys are most likely to blow the fuck up this year. Remember where you heard it first.

Be on the lookout for their upcoming releases on Mad Decent, Dubsided and Exploited, dropping in 2010.
